Competition for Best Energy Efficiency Demonstration Project in Buildings "EasySave 2010" within the 1st European-Ukrainian Energy Day

As part of the First European-Ukrainian Energy Day, the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency, East Europe Foundation (EEF), the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO), Modul Invest, Delta Projektconsult Ukraine TOV and EcothermoEngineering Ltd. have announced a competition among Ukrainian private companies on improving energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption in buildings. The main goal of the competition is to support three winners in the implementation of their energy efficiency and reduction of energy consumption projects in the country. The competition organizers will support the three winning projects by helping them conduct an energy audit on a targeted facility, and assist each company in developing a business plan and financial estimates based on technical data and the energy audits. Eligible projects will be considered by the NEFCO for financing (conditions: interest rate - 6% p.a., NEFCO financial contribution would not exceed 90% of project total costs). The organizers invite all private Ukrainian companies, target building owners, representatives of target companies or other relevant parties to submit project proposals for the competition by May 10, 2010. CSR Community of Practice Introduces Office Waste Reduction Program

CSR Community of Practice (www.svb.org.ua) invites you to take part in the "Office waste reduction program: А4 CLUB", which is being implemented in partnership with the national campaign "Go Green", initiated by UN in Ukraine under the auspices of Global Compact. Program activities are aimed at practical implementation of the GREEN OFFICE concept, and specifically minimizing paper waste generated by the office through waste paper collection and recycling scheme. All interested parties are invited to participate free of charge. Program participants are provided with the waste paper containers, which are emptied by the program staff upon request, the waste paper being taken for recycling.
